CASE STUDY – ABERDEEN

Client Brief

The existing cloakroom was dated and incorporated details such as a corner bath which were not inline with the style the client was trying to achieve in the complete renovation after recently moving into the property.

As this was the bathroom guests would use, the client wanted a space that had visual impact and but also incorporated a large walk-in shower for guests to use if required.

A contemporary look was desired, but the client was open to suggestions on use of materials and colours.  The client fell in love with one of our showroom displays, showing our Italian brand of bathroom furniture and high on the wish list was the glass basin.

Solution

For a cloakroom the space was large which allowed us the opportunity to create a feature wall which had a real impact.  The use of tiled false walls created a frame to the bespoke furniture and allowed us to conceal the cistern for the wall hung w/c.  Alcoves were built allowing the opportunity to display some pieces.   The recess in the room created a natural space for the walk-in shower.

Lacquered furniture was colour matched to the bespoke eco cement worktop which was made extra thick to enhance and create a dominant feature in the room.  The desired smoked grey glass basin took pride of place on the surface and included wall mounted taps.   Large format marble effect tiles were used which contrasted beautifully alongside the graphite paint colour and dark tiled floor.  A large made to measure mirror with downlights positioned on the bulkhead completed the room.

This cloakroom has a luxurious feel enhanced by the luxury materials and bespoke furniture.
